The Austen Series
Being part of the world wide fan base of Austenites who love rewrites/sequels, I hope to modernize and recreate all six of the beloved Austen novels for teens. –Which has never been done before! As a mother of six, my ultimate goal is to present tweens/teens with an alternative to the ever popular chick lit novel on the shelves today, with good clean characters and positive heroes to emulate.

Just a quick heads up. As of June 1st, my website server moved all of it's websites to another location. I'm not happy with the services this new location provides. UPDATE: APRIL 24, 2009
I've just finished my 7th book! Yes, that's seven complete manuscripts (in just over a year). And no, it isn't Mansfield Ranch. That one is still on hold until I talk to an uber cool editor. Meanwhile, I've been plugging away in other directions.
So here's an update on all my work so far:
Completed Book One: Pride & Popularity, waiting to work on rewrites with an editor. No deal yet.
Completed Book Two: Persuaded, Almost finished with third rewrites.
Completed Book Three: Emmalee, Waiting for edits.
Completed Book Four: The Northanger Affect, Getting last review now, before it goes in line for edits.
Completed Book Five: BFF Notebook, Got rewrite notes from Kirsten, she loves it. Currently undergoing 2nd rewrite with coauthor Kasie West.
Completed Book Six: Prince Tennyson, Revising now. Should be in Kirsten's inbox by early next week, for first review.
Completed Book Seven: Unnamed title (It's Classified. No really, it is), just Completed Kirsten's edits, which means it's ready for publisher rounds hopefully next week. Crossing Fingers here.
Writing Book Eight: Mansfield Ranch, on hold halfway through, until editor gives me an idea what she wants from the whole Austen Series.
Idea Book Nine: Talking to me. (Yes, I'm crazy. The characters DO talk! LOL!) Untitled Cinderella rewrite based off of the play I wrote and directed for children. Mostly from the Prince's POV. Read like shrek.
Idea Book Ten: Sensible & Sensational, talking to me. But on hold until Mansfield Ranch is done.

PRINCE TENNYSON IS FINISHED!!!
So the craziest thing has happened to me in the last few weeks, I've had the opportunity to start a completely different book. One that I'd never considered writing before, but has taken over everything. I know, I know... like I don't have enough on my plate, right? LOL! But this concept is amazing actually.
The book is about a 10 year old girl who's dad died over a year ago in Iraq. Her mom has just had a breakdown and has moved them all to Grandma Haney's house in Arizona. Chelsea Tennyson has to cope with a new home, trying to keep her mom happy and help her younger brother and sister to not forget their dad. But to add to all that, Chelsea's decided she wants to prove if God is real or not.
When I get a moment, I'll put up a link and let you read some sample chapters of Prince Tennyson.
